It’s time for us to move beyond this blog and get more of a discussion happening about 3D printing in learning spaces.

3D printers have enormous potential for enhancing the creativity and thinking of the students in our classrooms, but the technology is so new that we sometimes struggle to find ways to use them in our classrooms and tie in the technology with our curricula.

So – it’s time to talk.

It doesn’t matter if you are a classroom teacher, if you work in an after school program, at the college level or in a makerspace. We want to hear from you. We want to talk about why we use 3D printers in education, share project ideas and discuss how this technology can be used to help our students learn in new ways.

This upcoming Thursday, September 18th, we are going to host the first 3D printers in education twitter chat. We will begin at 7 PM CST (check your own time here). Please use the hashtag #3Dpined (3D printers in education). The chat will last for an hour. Even if you can’t stay for the entire time, please feel free to drop in and leave your thoughts behind.

Please join in and share your ideas.
